In 2002, Jode founded his first design firm, JDH Designs, which he operated for nearly two decades. Through years of designing homes, working with clients, and owning and operating other businesses, he developed not only his approach to architecture and design, but also a deeper understanding of branding, business, and the importance of the overall client experience.

In 2020, that experience led to the creation of Yellow Pillar Designs—a firm built around a simple philosophy: great design begins with listening.

Today, Yellow Pillar Designs brings together more than 20 years of residential and commercial design experience and a portfolio of more than 500 homes designed and built throughout Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. While the firm has grown and evolved, our commitment to thoughtful design and personal service remains at the center of everything we do.

We believe every project begins with a unique vision. Whether designing a custom home, developing a commercial space, or helping a client transform an existing property, our goal is to understand what matters most to each client and develop a design that reflects their needs, lifestyle, and vision.

From the initial conversation to the finished design, we work to make the process clear, collaborative, and enjoyable.

At Yellow Pillar Designs, we don’t simply draw plans—we help turn ideas into spaces you are proud to live, work, and build in.
